Hello!
Late last year the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) introduced a new program for dog trainers to implement called Canine Life And Social Skills (C.L.A.S.S.). This curriculum is designed to teach behaviors that have real world implications, such as leashing up manners and sitting politely at a door rather than charging through it. There are three levels to the program so learning can certainly continue and our furry friends can continue to work. For more information on the C.L.A.S.S. program, you can go to www.mydoghasclass.com.
I have taken and passed the first two sections of the test to become an instructor and evaluator for this program (one more test to take this week) so, on Monday, March 19th at 6:30pm I will start Village Animal Hospital’s first C.L.A.S.S. program. The class will run for 6 weeks and each session will last one hour. The cost for this class will be $75.00 per dog/handler team. I will be limiting the class to 5 dogs so please let me know if you are interested and I will get you signed up! And please also let me know if you have any questions!
Have a great week!
Kara
Our friends age at a much more rapid rate than we do. When it is “Time”, euthanasia is a painless and humane method. If your mature friend is having troubles, consider contacting your Vet for more information on euthanasia.
